Combat loop · August 2026Grow A Colony Combat Guide
Use Majors and Drones for fighting, protect the Worker Food route, and understand the three target families and published combat rewards in Grow A Colony.
Step by step
Follow the route in order
Stop at the first step that does not match what you see.
- 01
Stabilize the Food baselineConfirm that at least one Worker route can complete before adding avoidable combat pressure. Food instability makes it harder to tell whether a fighting choice actually helps the colony.
- 02
Add a current fighting unitUse a Major or Drone because those are the two roles publicly assigned to fighting. Do not assume a specialization the current interface does not show.
- 03
Choose one visible target familyThe public description supports Bugs, Creatures, and Colonies. Select only a target you can identify in the current game rather than importing a named boss from another experience.
- 04
Watch the route as well as the fightA useful fighting unit should help the chosen job without leaving the Queen or Worker path exposed. Observe whether the Food loop remains stable during the encounter.
- 05
Read the actual reward outcomeThe game says combat can give more ants and Food, but no fixed amount is published. Use the result you see in that session and avoid turning it into a guaranteed rate.
